Fertility

1. 3 months before and while trying to conceive

1 hour acupuncture treatment every week plus herbs

For best results start 3 months before starting to try to conceive for both men and women. The health of both parents before and at the time of conception, and the mother's health during the early stages of her pregnancy have an influence on the health of the baby. It is optimal to treat for at least 3 months before conception to properly regulate the menstrual cycle, balance hormonal activity, and to optimize egg quality. Women’s follicles are recruited over 3-5 months before being chosen for ovulation. Therefore, the quality of your eggs are actually determined during the 3-5 months before conception. This is why it is recommended to allow adequate time during the preconception phase to "Cultivate the soil before planting the seed" and allow for at least three months for your treatments and healthier life style habits to take affect.

2. Prevent Miscarriage

Acupuncture and herbal medicine are used for the first trimester to help support the in carrying the baby to full term.

1 treatment/ week for 3 months + herbal medicine

3. Assist with pregnancy support where necessary

Acupuncture and herbal medicine treat delayed labour, birthing complications, morning sickness, back and leg pains associated with pregnancy, insomnia and other pregnancy related problems as well as overall health during pregnancy.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) / IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)/IntraUterine Injection (IUI)

1. Preparation before IVF/ICSI/IUI drug protocol begin*

1 hour acupuncture treatment each week plus herbal medicines

This is the preconception phase. Research shows that best for best results 9 acupuncture treatments need to be done in the weeks before embryo transfer.

2. During drug suppression*

2 3/4hour acupuncture treatment per week + herbal medicine

3. During drug stimulation: FSH & LH (known as Pergonal, Puregon, Repronex or Gonal F)*

2 3/4 hour acupuncture treatments/week + herbal medicines if ART clinic agrees

4. Transfer day (IVF/ICSI)*

Acupuncture treatment immediately before and after day 3 embryo transfer

For blastocyst transfer- acupuncture treatment 3 days after retrieval and again on day 5 before and after transfer of blastocyst

5. Implantation to pregnancy test*

1 hour acupuncture treatment 5-10 days after transfer

Cancelation Policy

A $95 fee is charged if you miss a treatment without 24 hours notice.
